Brad Stosiek
Brad is a 2011 graduate from Manteno high school. Right after high school he joined the Marines where he spent five years in Okinawa Japan as a food service specialist. He made sure the marines were well fed and well taken care of. His time in the marines was five years, and then things took a turn.
When getting out of the Marines, Brad experienced severe headaches, and neck pain due to a condition called Chiari Malformation. In this condition, his brain stem was growing out of his spinal cord, and causing other medical issues (headaches, stiff neck, vomiting, etc.). In the end, the surgeries and condition ended up taking his vision and leaving him in the dark……
Brad took this tragedy and turned it into a superpower. He uses his story to help fellow veterans get through their struggles and does this by cohosting the I’M F.I.N.E. Podcast. A podcast geared to normalizing mental health and breaking the stigma to let both veterans and civilians know they are not alone in any struggles they may face in their lives.
